    Miskin E-14 motor scraper

I don't know what your particular operation is, but I'll bet that with the right operator, you'll find that a scraper can be quite beneficial! (no matter what the brand)

    Newbie Scraper operator!

One thing too, is to run the engine at an RPM that will not allow the trans to be "shifty" all of the time...I'd say somewhere around 1200-1800 RPM. It takes awhile to get used to, but once you do, you can leave the trans in 8th gear all day! Just try and keep your tires from spinning too...

Pond: ag tractor & pan or dozer?

If you're worried about roading the tractor/pan, just take the dozer...guys around here build ponds with only dozers all the time. Might not be the best, but sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do! As for buddy deals...be careful sometimes they don't work out too well!

    Humble advise needed

Hooking up is also soooo much easier when the scraper is still moving. When I'm pushing, I just about pull my hair out when the scraper hand "calls for mommy"!

    Scraper for sale

Thanks Alan...that is Darren Campbell, we've PM'd back and forth a few times. I've already contacted him, he said that alot of their scrapers have been sitting over the past year, plus he's in Canada, and said that it'd take a small fortune to get it up there. Anyway keep your eyes peeled...

    Scraper for sale

I'm thinking about selling my scraper (Fiat Allis 262B). Just wondering if anyone out there is looking, or has any advise. Thanks, John.

    Humble advise needed

Up, down, left, right...good eye, good feel in your butt, if it starts to go over-turn 'er downhill and plant a foot in it! Start out slow, don't flat-foot the foot feet when you cut. Don't use the rear engine when you are going to turn. Stagger your cuts (if you are able to), in other words...

Open Bowl VS elevating scraper for 9inch topsoil removal on 100acres

I say hire them both, if that's what's available in you area...it'll get done twice as fast, and I don't think that you'll really notice a difference between machines. With the right operator in a paddle scraper, you can "hog" some pretty serious dirt! Good luck!

    Scraper advise

I'm a BIG fan of scrapers...with the right operator, you can do just about anything with them (finish work included). The only thing is, it all depends on what you're going to do with it, they are wonderful for moving a mountain of dirt in a short amount of time; but not too efficient at moving...

Yeah, that's a pretty big job! (to me anyway) How far in east KS were you? What were you building?

Any scraper work in east/central Kansas?

Yeah, 'round here it's all a bunch of pond cleaning (which tends to be a little sloppy for a scraper). Just feelin' out what everyone else is putting up with...thanks.

    613 c ii ect

I run one just about everyday 8LJ02164. Good machine, monster tough. We have an older B water wagon with a 3208, surprisingly it seems to have a little more power (maybe torque or something I don't know). The ride is rough, but I've gotten used to it. I haven't been around many other...
