Hate When Pivot Shaft Breaks!! D10n

Operator was running machine and stopped after the track had fallen off of the LH side. Roller frame was rubbing up agains the sprocket teeth. No machine as operating at time of break down, the last pic was the next day after it had rained, making it turn to rust.

Hate When Pivot Shaft Breaks!! D10n

Can't even imagine how you can break a piece of solid metal about 8 inchs in diameter, but if you ever do, this is what it would look like

    330BL Final Drive Failures

Simpley put, (just like everyone stated) lack of maintenance!!! This will eventually cause a gernade effect in any manufactors final drive. People are very lax in checking and changing oil in finals. As far as major problems are concerned, finals should never really go if maintaned. And when...

    Torque converter help

I'm only wondering if your torque convertor has a lock-up clutch inside of it and is either centrificully controld or by pilot oil some how. If you have the manual i would look at that. If your lock up is never working you will never be in direct drive, you will notice your engine will not bog...

How to move a burnt excavator?

I would personally load machine on lowboy with another excavator after you completely removed drive motors. I do agree you need to removed swing motor, or unlock brake some how, not familar with your machine too much. Once on the trailer i would follow you boom lines to your main valve body...

No hyd. functions: Cat 312 BL...8JR

If the limit switch underneath the saftey lever is good, i would then check (underneath the floor board or in one of the compartments by the engine, not 100% on your model) for the pilot valve. Need to make sure that you soleniod that controls your pilot oil is working properly, turn key on...

    D10T problems?

I would check to make sure your positive battery terminal didn't come loose is off, they did have that problem in the begining.( i know it seems obvious, but sometimes the stupid stuff is over looked). Make sure your cab ground is in good condition. Also know that there are updated flash files...

    CAT D7E Electric Drive Dozer

I dont know for sure, but safe to assume that this will be in all machines, or most of machines soon after all the bugs are worked out of this one. It does look smaller, but you dont need a torque convertor, trans, no more elevated sprocket, all this makes it look a lot smaller than the R...

    Frozen Pins

There is no puller used to remove those collets. Each of those holes in the collets are fine thread. You need to get three bolts that fit that fine thread hole and run them into the collet, the bolts screw into the collet and push the collet away from the pin when they hit the pin. (dont be...

    Caterpillar D6KXL

Keep an eye on the 4 bolts on the back side of C-frame for lower dog bone on blade. They tend to come loose when using a grubbing rack on machine.

    953d

973D is being used in blue stone quarrys in northern PA. Havent gotten a chance to talk with the operator, pretty sure they like it. they loved the transition with the C models. These quarrys are out in the woods, need the versitility of machine, also use the bucket and machines speed to get...
