    1/50 scale logging models

I have been busy lately and figured I would share what I've been doing here. My pics are too large so I'll just post links. Trucks http://www.flickr.com/photos/11906849@N08/13206160365/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/11906849@N08/11544902095/...

    Yoader Pics

Here's my rendition of a 330 yoader in 1/50 scale actually. After seeing the guy line on that kobelco I know what I'm doing next week. I also want to build a little acme for it but that's in the future for now. I just threw together the drift carriage because summer is...

Thunderbird Yarders, Loaders, and Etc from the Murray's in Eugene Oregon

Here's a TSY 255 belongs to Wally Plikat. Only one ever with a high & wide UC. On this setting they were out about 1000 feet. Had a cat for a tail stump and one for a guy stump. Looked like it was a green up unit with regen surrounding it.

Here are a couple from my diorama. All 1/50 scale. Not completely home made but certainly bashed together. Let me know what you think.

    Mobile crushing plants.

I work there! Lol. Not there but at JCI. I guess if you have good truck drivers this whole plant can be up and running in less than a day. Reality is a different thing though.

    Loaders, Limbers and Roadbuilders.

These are really cool. I always thought it would be cool to build a road builder out of a leveling buncher. It would most likely throw the geometry of the whole machine off but it would be a nice machine for piling brush and building road.

I don't think they're required until 2013 or 2014. There are only a few cab manufacturers that make OROSHA approved forestry cabs. I know for sure that madill and Tigercat are not on the list.

The Toy Shop - Show off your Homemade toy machines

These aren't all scratch built but they're all 1/50 scale diecasts that have been bastardized a little bit. Link-Belt 210LX with a log max 8000 I think it is. The trailer is actually scratch built styrene. My version of a 30K hour machine. I almost forgot about the jeep I built...

You could be right about it being a trade. I'm going to try and get some pictures of the new 3800 today.
