    Case 580b loader/backhoe

Power steering is the same as the hydraulic reservoir, I use 85-405 from Napa because it says it's Case Hy-Trans compatible which is what the service manual says to use. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/FHQ85405?partTypeName=Hydraulic+Fluid&keywordInput=hydraulic+oil

    580B Shuttle problem?

That’s good news. I’ve had my machine for three years now and it’s just starting to have the same symptoms, although if I let it warm up for 20 minutes I’m good to go, I just never had the issue until now.

    Case 580b ck

Newbie here but I would check the clutch pedal linkages, make sure its fully engaging and disengaging first.

    Case 580B Main Relief Valve

Following. I have similar symptoms and will be tackling this soon. Repacked every cylinder on the machine except the hydra leveling, basically 100% of the fluid has been changed including what’s in the cylinders, new filter, no luck. Certain backhoe functions lack some power but not all. I...

Case 580B, Rosa master DBG injection pump

Hello, I have the usual throttle linkage leak at the injector pump. I have already ordered the seal kit but does anybody have a link to a service manual for these pumps? I’m not having any luck finding it online. The full model number for the Rosa Master is DBGFCC 431-46AJ Thanks in advance!!

Case 580CKB starter electrical problem...should be easy, but I'm dumb!

One more thing. My service manual says to enegerize the starter on a bench to measure the pinion clearance. Is this really necessary?

    inj pump leak

I will actually be tackling this myself. I just did the best I could to remove the paint on the name plate without scratching it. The machine sat for a few weeks and Out of nowhere I suddenly have a decent leak coming from the throttle, made a mess of my new gravel driveway. Pump guy would...

Case 580CKB starter electrical problem...should be easy, but I'm dumb!

My starter is cooked, I actually just pulled it off today to confirm if it’s 9 or 10 teeth for when I order the replacement. Can you guys recommend a good brand? There’s tons online to choose from, anywhere from $70 to $250. Also, could you guys give me your opinion on my ring gear. Looks fine...

    Looking at a 580b

I would say around 4k. All fixed up, no issues would get you around 8k in NH.

    580B steering wheel won't turn

Changing the oil and filter for the power steering is an easy and inexpensive job. I had done mine then after about 30 hours I had a hard time turning the wheel. First thing I did was check the oil level, it was low. Come to find out, one of the steering cylinders was weeping, not even enough to...

1971 Case 580B CK - Burnt disconnected resistor behind gauge panel

I have this is as well on my machine but I have a diesel. Without any prior research I assumed it was a circuit breaker, part of the starter motor/solenoid circuit.

1971 Case 580B CK - Oily right brake

Way beyond me lol. The 580b is my first tractor and literally the first one I’ve ever operated. I’m an electrician by trade and fairly handy but have never worked on heavy equipment. I’m just learning as I go with the tractor, if something breaks I fix it. My lower throttle linkage shaft sheared...
