    been through zanesville before and didnt know thats where silver spade and big muskie ate at though...but i guess that would be prime territory for a strip because there couldnt be much cover

    yeah i get out of wv alot and i have been all over ohio, my mom lives in columbus, i went to school in lima, and i've never seen a strip (surface) mines anywhere, what are they mining? if its coal it just about has to be on the eastern part of the state

    the pic in the link you have there is a komatsu 575, not a cat...handtpipeline said the trucker told him it was a d-19-750 cat dozer

    thanks for the input fellers...hopefully all goes well with the new job, only thing i will definately miss for sure is the company truck, its really nice to have a company furnish you a pickup and gas

    Rollers frozen!

    we never dont work if they are frozen, if we cant get them thawed out, break the tracks loose and get 'em turning and usually by the end of the day between the heat from the machine and sun, and the vibration they will start to turn

    i dunno about a 7, 8, or 9, but i know a 6r/t will use 100 gallons if worked hard all day, i would imagine the bigger ones would use proportionally more probably like 115,130,145

    suprised i havent seen it on here, but i just put a little diesel around the rollers and light it, and try to keep them shoveled out
