    John Deere 490e Final Drive

    I am working on a John Deere 490 E. I have hydraulic oil mixed in with the gear oil in the final drive. Can I separate the hydraulic motor from the planetary without removing the whole assembly and tracks?

    That snap ring is a real bear. It took 2 of us with a multiple screwdrivers and picks but we got it out.

    Working on a John Deere 310Sj. Replacing seals on the right front for the hub and axle leaking. I'm having a difficult time getting the axle out of the hub to replace the seal in the back of the hub. Is there a special tool or any tricks? Thank you in advance
