    Bobcat 773 Hydraulic Hose Removal

The hydraulic supply hose from the filter to the control valve is leaking. I need suggestions on how to remove it from the connection between the engine and control valve. It appears to me I may have to remove the engine but was hoping there were some other ways to get it loose.

    Bobcat Making Oil

My Kubota in a 773 seems to be making oil. I'm not familiar with this style injector pump. It starts and runs fine so the pump can't be leaking a lot, or does the fuel cam run in fuel and there is a seal at the front? That sounds like a big job if it is where the extra volume is coming from...

Bobcat 773 Boom Bucket won't Move

OK, thanks. Logical approach. Not sure I understand aux activated, I assume you can't activate it unless the lap bar is down. If so I guess I can manually hold the safety down.

Bobcat 773 Boom Bucket won't Move

Been using the Bobcat 773 on a rotary mower, so the auxiliary hydraulics have been on full time mowing. Now without the mower, with just a bucket, the boom will only go up and the bucket will only go down unless the auxiliary hydraulics light is on and the thumb switch is pushed "in". Without...

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

Thanks CC888! One more question. Is there any reason to stay with propylene glycol coolant?

Is it feasible to do tracks over wheels on an 8 x 8

Interesting that the TEREX link did not show the wheels/tracks. My skid steer has solid tires and I use McLaren tracks over them They work great but take about twenty minutes to install and they are very heavy. You can find their site and they would be eager to discuss what they could do for...

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

Any advice on installing the head gasket. I have a service manual but it does not mention coating the gasket with anything. I have the torque, pattern, and repeat after hot. Thanks, Andy

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

Thanks for your sage advice! I thought to check #1 and #4 (no head cracks) and found the same scoring. Again I couldn't feel the marks, so it's just going to get a new head. Thanks again!

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

I'm also seeing a mark I can't feel in cylinder two. Possibly a broken ring? It would only have had less than an hour if I have a ring broken.

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

Got the head off my 773. It is obviously cracked between the injector chamber and the inlet valve in cylinder two and three.

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

OK, thanks, guys. My plan is to pull the head in the tractor as the engine had such good compression I'm expecting the cylinders to look good. Any comments?

Bobcat 773 Blowing Smoke and Oil

Hi. I have a Bobcat 773 with Kubota engine and 2500 hrs. A few days ago I noticed the engine gurgling after shutdown and the temperature gauge was slightly above the operating range. Sure enough it was low on antifreeze. I filled the radiator and replaced the air filter (it was...
