Carbody looks like the new G series. He picked up a 3756G a while back. Here's the pic shiny side up.

Too bad the photo is a KW vs. a Pete. TA Peterman developed the "Skate Creek Diesel Log Truck," up there Now known as a Peterbuilt.

Isn't it? This was not intentional though as the processor operator slid that machine all the way to the bottom last night and was there all night long. It took 580 feet of inch and 1/8 line to reach it and my 3756 shovel and D7 to get it out of there. We used the shovel to pull and the D7 to Corner block off of.
Main thing is the machine is okay & the operator didn't get hurt but we did lose five hours of logging time with the yarder this morning screwing around with this.

Looks like you need one of those processor with built in winch to belay down the hill

My buddy slid a machine down a slope like that (intentionally).
"You guys are a bunch of chicken sheets, I'll do it."
Made it to the bottom, got out on the engine cover and beat his chest at everyone up on the road watching, got back in & backed up.......over a stump and laid it on it's side.

You'd have had to bring up the fire wagon to muck out the cab if I had been running it... that may have exceeded operational sphincter pressures!

Looks good. Runs well you say? Nice find.
Yeah, runs great. Almost everything is new. Motor was rebuilt about 200 hours ago, all the rollers, pins, sprockets show almost no wear.
The bucket was rebuilt with thicker/better steel, etc.
She does drink the fuel though. Not like the newer engines that are more efficient.

Nice! Next time you have the engine cover up, could you snap a photo? Maybe a shot taken from the front too! That is tidy looking machine. Cheers

Here is a front shot of it squeezing through a very tight fit.
I'll get some engine pictures this weekend.

Thanks Froadin, good to see a proper old engine once in a while. Classic. You got digging projects for the Cat?

Yeah, I have some fence lines with some large stumps that need to go away. Then some ponds, root cellar, etc.

Here is our newest acquisition. By far the most comfortable cab yet. I have a 38" inseam & can stretch my legs out fully til my knees lock! I actually Had to slide the seat forward to reach the forward travel pedals, I was not stocked up after running it either unlike our Deeres.

I always liked the paint scheme on those. Is that a Waratah and what model is it?
