Case Made a Skidder Also

Photo from a sales site a year ago.I know a guy that ran a Case Skidder in the late 80's through early 90's,and said they were a good machine. They are extremely rare.I've never seen one in person.

Yes, I can imagine. The biggest problem they had was stopping it breaking in half. Apparently they have glued it together several times.

re;480T skidder
I talked to one of the Dixon's crew. He said the first year they had the 480 they spent a lot gussetting and beefing up the hitch area as it did tend to break in half.
but once they had it fixed up nothing could touch it in steep ground. it could back up where a 527 couldn't and they worked it in what should have been yarder ground!

Can anyone help Me with a question about My 665 Clark grapple Skidder ? The rubber bumpers on the front axle are worn out and all but gone. Will this affect My front drive shaft by over extending it ? I just replaced the drive shaft due to it being worn out and am concerned about this issue.
