On the way home from work today I caught one of Murray's trucks pulling a train car and got a quick cell phone pic. Either that truck has alot of power or that train car isnt as heavy as it looks because he never slowed down when we hit the hill.

Its about 130,000lbs we have a total of 5 of them to move. This is the second one. The truck is a 1996 Peterbilt with a 525hp Cat in it. I forgot to send a good camera with the driver this time so on the next one ill have to do that and get some good pictures.

How old is the trailer?
I was wondering because it still has arch left in it with 65K (130/2) on it, and all in one place at that.

Where is that at?

The truck is making the turn from hwy 29 onto hwy 20 in lower lake ca. Oversize loads and hazmat trucks coming from or going to I-5 have to detour off of hwy 20 and go around clear lake, this is where they meet back up with hwy 20 and continue on towards the coast.

all of our fleet Professional trailers are 2005 or newer...I am not sure what year that trailer is though since I can't see the trailer number on the front of the gooseneck.

Well, that is close enough. It is a lot newer than mine. It is a late 90's, and hauls up to 88K pretty regular. It has had enough big loads and rough roads that it does not stand up quite as proud anymore.
Still, it has done quite well for the treatment it gets. It sags a bit now with the D-8T on it, and a 70K load has it flat. Not bad, I guess.

These are some older pictures of our lowboys. The first one is an older Ford with an N14 Cummins (which we sold) hauling part of a water tower. The second one is our 1990 International 9300 with an N14 celect plus turned up to 500 hauling an office on a trail king. The last one is our newest lowboy, a 2007 International 9900i with a C-15 twin turbo turned up to 525 with a trail king detachable goose neck.

I thought that intersection looked familiar...

Leroy, I got a lot more pics but I've posted them before on this site. Not sure if reposting is OK :beatsme

This pic is from Pleasanton CA. truck show. Piggy backing the Mighty D4 works great cuz it allows me to tow the travel trailer to shows. Little embarrassing going through the scales but at least I stay on the show grounds.

On slow days when service men are standing around looking for something to do we made the KW a long nose. Doesn't turn as sharp but seems to ride a little better.

I looked and looked and did not find it. After you mentioned it I felt dumb for not noticing.

It is a great looking truck Mike.

By the way, can you share any more info on the D-6 with wheels on it?

Yup sure did, only regret is I didn't do the 6" extended cab earlier. I'm 6' 2" with size 15 shoes and now I can stretch out. Love the W900's but hate being cramped up.
