Terex transmission

Hey I got a terex ts14g 2001 giving me a 080 transmission code sometimes a 044 won’t let me shift into any gear then ones in a while lets me go in one gear
Some help would be appreciated thank you

and to add to that when it does shift it’s 1st no second then 3rd nothing in four 5th and six and seven nothing just limp

I would start by checking all your wiring harness connections for broken or rusted pins in the connectors. Also check the harnesses for broken wires. If you have a second machine you can easily swap the shifters to make sure the issue isn’t in the shifter. You can also swap the harnesses around on the front and rear TCUs (under the cab) to and see if that changes your problem from the front to rear or vice versa. The wiring for the transmissions on these machines is a weak point. Get someone that is good at trouble shooting electrical issues to look at it and they can probably chase down the problem pretty quick. You may want to get parts and service manuals if you don’t already have them to assist with trouble shooting. I’m not a mechanic but I ran several of these years ago this was a common problem.

Questionable Wizard on here knows a lot about these machines so maybe he will chime in with some advice for you.

The wiring issues can seem a little overwhelming and complicated but don’t give up on it, they aren’t bad machines, just keep it maintained it will serve you well once you get this issue sorted out.
