Looking for a Deutz engine, model F3L912 there are two versions a D and a W the letter follows the 912; does any one know the difference between the D & W notations are they the same engine? Looking at an engine how would one know which is the engine I would be looking at? All Internal parts differences?
Any photos to show what the difference is?

I found out.
the "w" is for extra clean environments, burns fuel cleaner then the "D" engine model.
The W injectors have a pre burn chamber and the D engine have an injector direct to piston chamber.

My woman has always told me, if we can't agree on something........then the answer is no! I'm going with that philosophy here. NO!

GDC's question is;

"Is there an external difference between a Deutz engine 3L912 and a Deutz engine 3L913 in terms of installation (mounting points)?"

There are major differences between the 912 and 913 engines in the bore size and stroke (100/120mm vs 102/125mm) - and in length dimensions.

However, the drawings and brochures indicate that the mounting points are likely to be the same - but I'd suggest a discussion with a Deutz dealer and their workshop manager would be necessary, to confirm if this is so.

GDC, de standaardtaal van dit forum is Engels, dus als u informatie wilt inwinnen, is het stellen van uw vraag in het Engels noodzakelijk. Bedankt.
