I have been interested in buying a tree shear. If you have one, I would like to know how it works and what uses they have served for you. Is there a big demand for it.

I have a dymax 10" shear, it is the model before they started the timberwolf. Ones that grapple the trees then cut are the way to go. Making piles and thinning trees works really well and couldn't see getting along without. I've mostly used to clear pastures and remove buckeye trees from my woods. If i was doing it professionally i'd pick up a timberwolf with the stump sprayer. The only problem i've had with my shear was getting a limestone rock jammed in there and bent the blade. Broke a couple of the blade bolts too. Dymax had the bolts at my door in couple days.
