Hi, my 1998 Fiat Allis FD255 manuals calls for ATF-Type A fluid for the transmission/torque converter.....plain type a is non existent around here. I bought fluid that is recommended for automatic transmissions where Dexron III, Dexron IIE, Dexron II, Dexron, Mercon, Allison C-4 or C-3 is called for. This is the oil: http://www.ruralking.com/trans-fld-harvest-king-atf-5-gal.html

I found a sitehttp://www.kroon-oil.com/en/product-recommendation/construction-mining-and-materials-handling-equipment/fiat-hitachi/tracked-dozers/fd-255/1003/108745/#!/component:108745/ that also listed my dozer's oil requirements that sold type A http://www.kroon-oil.com/en/catalogue/product/61/atf-a/558/ that in the specs said it was a replacement for allison C-3 also.....My gut says the oil I bought is fine (backwards compatible) but I want a second opinion. Mistakes cost too much.

Also, the driveshaft seal out of the torque converter is leaking. New seal is $35 & I have the T/C drained right now, so it should be a good time to change it. By looking at #16 in the pic, any tips or tricks or things I should watch out for or any special tools I'd need?
