Oil Change interval 5.9 Cummins

Hi guys,

I have a couple 5.9's and I am wondering how often to change the engine oil.

Manual calls for 12000 kms iirc.

I have always tried to get in around 5000 kms, but do I really need to do it that often?

I run caseIH No.1 15w40. Trucks mainly used for running to site and back morning and night. Site is 45 mins away.

I change the oil in my 5.9 and 6.7's at about 5000 to 6000 miles, I'm not sure how many Km's that is.

We change ours every 5000 miles, 490,000 miles later not a problem get
