What are the specs on such a beast? I never get to see new/big fun stuff like that. Upstate NY is not really much of a place for big construction projects.

i have all ways liked this type of final drive and track system that is a carry over from IH. Does it have 2 speed on the steering?

we have one new TD40E the Extra model out and the customer says it is a real beast he has always ran Fiat-Allis FD50 and he says it will out push them not as fast but more dirt in front of the blade we did have a bit of trouble with the engine at first don't know if they got some bad fuel or what but once it was fixed look out

Nice tractor thanks does the guy that ran those Fiat FD50's still have them they are 550 hp tractors and weigh fully equip 160,000 lbs but they dont have a 56 cubic yd blade that seem alot for a 136,000lb tractor the d10n CAT we had with twinn tilt ublade was only rated at 28 and it had 520 hp at 140,000lbs

Ok I just looked up this tractors specs sorry to bust anyones bubble
but the 52yd blade is a coal blade standard ublade is 29.8 cyd the 560 hp is just gross power it has 515 net hp
fat alice tractor FD50 has duel stage hp rated at 525/550 net hp operating weight 161,594 lbs that guys FD50's must be sick or a little worn like everything with age
a tractor that is heavier and higher hp usually pushs more especially down hill

well the FD50 are tired and wore out also parts are getting a lot harder to find too the most of the ones we sold the 525/550 hp went by the way side the only way you could get 550 was in 2nd & 3rd gear we changed most of them to about 540 or so. in all the gears also the spec on the TD40 are not right the Extra model weighs 8000lb more and that does not include the 36" pads we put on the machine after it was delivered
