As the title says, new here. I've read things on this site before, and always seemed to be a lot of information floating around. I, like a lot of people, use the internet like we used to use encyclopedias or the Chilton's Guides. Well, since I found myself here a few times the last couple weeks, figured I should join up.

I'm kind of a mercenary mechanic. I used to build hot rods and fun stuff at home, and fill in at various auto shops around here. That moved on to doing jobs others didn't want to do, or were afraid to do. Axles on loaders, rams on backhoes...whatever floated my way. What brought me by recently, started tinkering with an old Cat 12E grader.
