So I was at a job today and the contractor doing the excavation had a deere ctl there with these special tracks. He said it improved traction in mud as well as protected the tracks when in rock.

Each bar was made in two pieces and welded in the center where the bushing goes over the pin in the track.

Not sure if he is on to something or not... but its something new to look at.

I told him that he should make an other set and sell them... and he kinda chuckled. No objections to the pics, though I didn't tell him he was going to be a star on HEF.

Oh, and he said those tracks have about 600 hrs on them.

How did he get the bar around the track? Does the part in the middle go all the way around the pin? How does it mesh with the sprocket? I would love to make a set for my 332.
