Wondering if any HEF members are going to Brownsville, Pennsylvania for the big show. This is reported to be the largest digging event in the U.S.A. This year they are also hosting the ACMOC National Show as part of this event. Beside the usual there will be an extra 100 or so Antique Caterpillars running around playing in the dirt and on display. The wife and I are arriving on Friday August 12th. We are taking the motorcycles this year and going to tool around that part of the country for a few days after the show before returning home. It would be a pleasure to meet other forum members whom may be going.

This next week we will be at the other end of Penn. Going to check out Steamtown, in Scranton. Believe it is all old railroad stuff but should be interesting.

We also will be on motorcycles, well Sportster and a Vespa. And don't laugh about the Vespa it will do 80 with no sweat if need be.

Hope you get some good pictures be nice to see the older equipment actually playing in the dirt like they were built to do.

I'm about an hour and a half north of Brownsville. I've made it to the show half a dozen times, and it's always been a good time. This year I've been so busy I hadn't even given it a thought yet. I can't make any promises at this time, but yeah, I'd love get down there again, and to meet up with anybody else that happens to be going. :thumbsup

I'll probably be going Saturday. I try to make it to at least one of their shows every summer. I used to belong to this club ... but just dropped out of all the clubs several years ago .. due to just not enough time.
Look for me & give me a holler .... I'll be wearing a bright Red "ROKON" hat.

Most likely wearing some kind of current show shirt, probably not the only one with one, LOL, but always wear a name badge on my shirt with Old-Iron-Habit on it. Usually no hat, but always got a good top mirror shining back to you. Mog5858 will be there also flying in from SAS, Canada. Our MC travel plans have changed. My wife is back to see the surgeon Monday and riding that far two days later is not sounding probable for her, so we will be bringing the car.

Good show this year. :thumbsup

And I got to meet Mog5858 and also spend a couple of enjoyable hours walking around and BSing with old-iron-habit, who it turns out is a helluva nice guy. :)

You caught me on good behavior. Seriously, one thing I like about shows besides the toys, is that everyone is always friendly and fun to be around. It was a great day. Cleaned one item off my bucket list when I made a couple pushes on the twin engine Euclid and enjoyed chatting with digger242j. It was bloody hot out there but fun.

The ACMOC national show is always tied into a larger show taking turns on areas to spread it around the USA. Next year California, the following Texas, then N. Carolina. It has never been intended to be a stand alone Cat show. Most members have a variety of machines and I think all of us enjoy seeing old equipment of every kind. There are lots of show pictures of all the events equipment up on the ACMOC board already tonight.
