Hello All,

I appreciate your help trying to figure problems with a John deere 330 clc excavators. It is having difficulties starting. If we spray a little Ether the machine turns over but dies immediately. It also blows some white smoke. Right before this issue we had to clean the engine because it developed thick black oil. Prior to that it had an oil change and we used new oil and filter about two weeks ago but for some reason the machine burns the oil and it gets very thick and black. Can you please give suggestion as to what might cause problem? Thanks

Okay fact check.
Oil is thick and back. Does it seem burnt ?
It will run on either but dies after you stop spraying?
Smokes white with no starting fluid ?
How did you clean inside of engine?
Does temperature gauge work does it run hot?
