JLG 45HA Stuck in Low Idle

Hello,

JLG45HA after starting will not go to high idle,
when ground switch selected.

I was hoping someone could help me trouble shoot
this with the things to check first.

The machine has been sitting a lot.

I also selected platform, and pressed the foot peddle,
and it wouldn't idle up to high idle there either.

I've exhausted my trouble shooting ideas with that step.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Alright, problem solved.

I decided to see if the platform/ground switch was working,
by trying to start the engine in the platform position.

The machine would not start, indicating the switch was
working, at least half way.

So, then I became brave, and opened up the engine
compartment doors. And right in front was the rectangular
governor box with a small horizontal linkage connected to
the carburetor. I grabbed this linkage and moved it back
and forth a bit.

And the problem is solved.

I'm always thankful to re-discover that I'm not a complete pussy,
only a 3 quarter pussy, willing to try a few things on my own.

Regards.
