Question is the jd seems to have a long crank time cold, maybe a few seconds shorter when warm. when it starts feels like its loaded up and or misses for a few 4-8 seconds.
Any thoughts?

Have you checked fuel pressure UP TO the inj. pump??
Have you tried setting/checking the pump to engine timing?
What color is the smoke when cranking & after starting?
Does the engine have glow plugs?
Does it have an electric lift pump or mechanical or is it gravity fed??
I need the pump #'s & engine model to help further..

That should be the easiest to answer, and pretty important. Probably no smoke or fog at all until it starts, right?

That should start on the first revolution at 65. It doesn't sound bad once it started though, is that video the way it usually sounds once it starts?

If you have a mechanical lift pump, have you tried priming it before cranking?

When cranks does not seem to smoke, as it starts and runs , appears to be gray, white, will double check that.
no glow plugs, it has a either can.
no have not checked fuel psi or primed before starting, will try priming
mechanical lift pump i believe.
engine timing has not been checked .
