I have a john deere 290 , 1989 that I have owned about a year. Machine is in great shape, it was well maintained. I have put about a hundred hours on it and I want to adjust the tracks. I have the manual for it, I have the specs for the track adjustment. My problem is the adjuster will not take grease.
I don't think I am out of adjustment but the manual does not give any info on how to tell if there is any adjustment left.
My slides(idlers mounts) are about an inch from sticking past the front of the rail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
