pull in CAT that you could recommend me too.
Or at any other similar character at some CAT dealership.
Someone thats been in the game for approx 800years
and that makes everyone in Peoria jump when he enters a room...

I need to know if someone on this forum knows any salesman there.
That has a highly appreciated relationship with CATERPILLAR INC. headquartered in Peoria. Thus the statement "a lot of pull".

Here are the current Holt dealerships in the United States. I seem to remember that there was a Holt Tractor in Ohio some years ago, but there is no listing for it now. I used to do some business with Holt in Los Banos, California some years ago. Good Luck!

Yes, there was a Holt Cat in Ohio. Im pretty sure about three years ago they changed the name to Ohio Cat. I have been past it several times with the Holt name and now the Ohio cat name.

I'm not sure if I've got my info correct, so if anyone knows different, please correct me.

I have been told that the Holt family (the same family that owned what is now called Ohio CAT) are the descendents of the man who founded Caterpilar. I do know that Holt Cat is huge. I also know that when they wanted to expand into some surrounding regions around Ohio, and the owners of the Cat franchises in those regions did not want to sell.. Holt began buying and operation John Deere Heavy Equipment Dealerships.

Northart: The problem if I may call it that is the lack of CE-labels on used machinery sold in the states.
Due to the current weak level of the USD it would be
financially "interresting" to ship some iron over here to the old continent.
And beeing the poor son of a ****** I am, I might finally get my hands on
a 385C :cool2 .

I know for a fact that the german CAT dealership has done this.
And now I would like too as well, because the fact is you aint a
real rocktroll before youve driven a 385. All else is made for
weighing caught fish and digging after worms :drinkup

As, for any of the above, if you, just want to, Operate one, to fufull a wish, you should contact Caterpillar, and ask to go, to one of their Proving Grounds for a demonstration.

As for purchase of used equipment, Caterpillar has Inspection Programs that go into great detail for prospective purchasers. You know exactly the rate of wear and the % of life left in major components.

Yes the Euro is particularly strong right now and the USA welcomes foreign purchase.

Im a contractor and my fleet only includes machinery up to 50tn=345C.
But as is the tendency with everything now-a-days all things seem to get bigger. Jobs,machines, female bussoms, witch offcourse aint all bad
So Im looking to buy some 365and 385Cs. And the prices over there beeing what they are today has ledd me to take this cause of action.
