Is their something that makes the boom faster? Every thing works but the lift is slow.

Is it slow from the platform AND ground controls? The old machines you could adjust the voltage at the platform controls through a potentiometer.

There is a procedure for some Genie units to adjust function and travel speeds. I haven't adjusted one in a while so I don't remember the exact procedure. Check Genie's website. Service manuals are available for download there.
