I bought a manual for my skidsteer, but my mechanic kept it when he worked on the machine. I lost my hydraulic fluid today, Does anyone know how much hydraulic fluid it would take to fill the machine if it is almost empty.

My 4640 manual says 12 gallons for 4640/4840. It jumps to 16 gallons with the 5600 series. hope this helps.

I figured it out. I bought 15 gallon, and put in about 8 gallon, so I figure it has about 12 gallon capacity.

I have one more question. In front of the gas pedal on the floor there is a knob you can turn by hand. Do you know what this knob regulates/
