I'm not sure how many in here have ever had the chance to work on a project like this ,
but IMHO a freeway job is the most dangerous kind of work there is for those of us in the construction trades.
Any time you are put in a position where motorists,
many of who are in need of a rectal/cranial inversion are speeding by at 15-30 miles per hr. above the posted speed limit,
there is going to be a certain number of mishaps.
On the I-15 Baker truck lane project, there was some kind of accident every single day.
We even watched a CHP pull over some idiot running through our lane closure doing 105mph
He got to ride in the back seat of a CHP cruiser that day.
He's lucky he didnt kill someone....or one of us.
The only time I was ever injured was working on a freeway overpass project here in Indio.
I know what its like to truly be "lucky"
