If a guy can be productive turning the blade around and blading in reverse without damaging the machine, why not?

My father do it many times at long and straight works at 1960 with Adams 440 , 666 , cat 12e cat 14d.and I do it now with my cat h series. No problem for the machine. If something was going wrong my father would have tell it to me. The only wrong when you are bored to turn it all around and you move material back with the opposite side of the moldboard the guard of the blade after sometimes becomes carbage
