We have several d4 cat dozers with what we call a "3rd valve", which means it has hydraulic ports that come out the rear similar to a farm tractor. We use the auxilary hydraulics for the lift on the plows that follow behind them. A friend has a john deere 650 that he would like to add this extra valve to. My questions: what kinda of money are you going to spend for this extra valve and how do you plumb the hydraulics to it?

Depending on the Deere you can add multiple factory valves and levers to them. Think the last one that I did cost about $340 per section and lever. Remove the end plate, add the additional valve ( s) and put in new bolts.
