My brother has come into a couple of old 7 g's one of them is getting dark sludge and particles in the charging system cutting off tranny pressure. Could the brake linings be coming apart and what grade oil dose that tranny and torque use

Not sure what the sludge may be, but they use straight 30 weight in the tranny which is common oil with the torque convertor.

Could be the brakes or friction material from the transmission. Picture’s, sample or better description and we should be able to give an exact analysis.
