Newer models are great till the novelty wears off and everything becomes just as worn out and loose, then the expense starts to show up with newer models wanting far more expensive maintenance. They all seem to make the same noises with age as well, starts as a low grumble and turns into a high pitched whine after only a few years.

Hydro failure Cmark?
Yes. The left drive pump playing up. On these machines all the pumps are mounted in a stack so the entire drive unit has to come out and be dismantled on the floor. Cat, in their wisdom made the decision to make the fuel tank a big plastic thing which sits snugly underneath the pumps.
You need to be stout of heart to attempt the job solo.
