Nice project. I looked at a 60 acre mini-farm project Thursday, we'll see how it evolves.

Is there any marketable timber that needs to be cleared? Can you burn on-site or will the vegetation have to be ground?

Looking forward to progress pics. BTW - what's all that white stuff on the ground?:D

cool, no its mostly pine so the clearing company is just chipping it and hauling it off, yeah we can burn on site we have burned a lot already, been on site for a month now so it looks a lot different then in the pics we demoed all the buildings and burned them to save on trucking cost to the dump. haha yeah that's nothing for lower Michigan haven't had really a lot of snow this winter which is good for us, get this 50 and rain tommorow and Tuesday there calling for 7 inches of snow! go figure!!

I wish we could burn demo debris. The only time it's burned is when the FD does a train burn but it's hard to get the FD's around here to do it anymore. They're worried with liability..

The only material we can burn is natural vegetation, not even untreated framing lumber. The county I live in we can open burn from Oct 1 to May 1. An adjacent larger county requires an air curtain pit burner, permit (fee of course ) and an inspection prior to burning.

Keep the pics coming.

Yeah the township is pretty small where the project is so all they required was a burn permit and to let them know when we are burning that's all which was nice for us, that sucks just to burn some "wood"

more cool stuff showed up!

A 349 will make quick work of grubbing stumps.

Do you have to haul the concrete off-site or is there a place to bury it on the project?

I've never run a 349, but I have a friend who has a 350. I have run it a few times, and you don't grub stumps with a 350, you pluck them, kinda like plucking blossoms. :tong

Considering a 349 is really a 490, you can only imagine Mitch :D

I haven't run a 349 but have put a bunch of time on a 345, and 470, would love to have a thumb on one for brushing.
