cat thirty with LaPlant-Choate blade

well guys i was able to pick this cat thirty up. the only reason why i pick it up is because of the blade set up it's got. the U/C is not bad but the motor well it's something els. ran when parked in the 60's lol but since then it's been under water 2 times and well time not been nice to some of her. 2 crack jugs on the water jacket side. BIG cracks that been welded up on the block , wrong mag , 3 broken valve springs that i can see. going to need a long winter to put this all right. looking for input.

Well....you're in the right place for long winters! Get some Marvel mystery oil and it will heal itself!

That's a cool old machine. Not too many of them around anymore, not that there were to start with. Takes a bold feller to tackle a job like that. More time and patience than I have. Good luck, keep us posted on the progress.
