Are you talking about changing the gearing on one you have? or comparing a Cat to a Case?

Anythings possible, but in this case nothing's practical. You could make a custom smaller/larger sprocket and the changes to go with it. A torque converter could be changed for one with more torque multiplication, even more impractical though.

They do still use them as crawler tractors in some places, that would be the place to ask.

The older Cat machines that had a SP at the end of the serial number meant they had special internal parts in them. Most of the time it was different gearing. Check with your dealer.
