Thought I’d share my recent bobcat s130 charging issue. Battery light on machine & not charging.. battery ok so fitted new alternator. Still the same no charge so checked battery terminals, Earth to chassis, earths to engine, etc.. started checking the loom that comes across the engine, up & over, to the alternator:
A is 6 pin plug over to fuel filler area
B is piggybacked from plug and should be ignition live feed to big B+ terminal on alternator.
C is plug to alternator. Should be ignition live on both pins.
D is alternator casing earth.
E is unrelated to coolant thermostat.
F is alternator output to battery which goes on B+ big lug on alternator WITH B.
Eventually I found the copper wire inside C which was an orange wire; now cut out and repaired with red wire.
Hope this helps anyone that ended up like me and a few others.
