The auger is what we call a "stone kicker." It does exactly what you said. The height is adjustable and not only kicks large rocks but also clay balls. I think they run the jaw at 2" and the rolls at around an inch.You must have to keep the jaw closed up small enough to feed the rolls to avoid rock slippage due to the wide nip angle. For 1k TPH there must be a lot of free stuff in the pit run.
