Never done one on a John Deere. What kind of a project is this? Any tips or pictures? Any help is appreciated. Got some wire wound around it and apparently cut the seal. Thanks a lot

Would you mind sending me the same info? My left side leaks until the level is about an 1" below the fill plug. I have drained it and there is no metal shavings, so guessing it is a tear in the seal. I have been just checking it often and doesn't seem to change. It's just used around the ranch, so I can live with it, but would be nice to change.
