I just came across a 1979 480C a buddy purchased. I became his mechanic for this machine.
The books are on their way after being ordered. I've gotten her all cleaned up and ready to start working on the leaks and other stuff. It runs great.
Noticed, after dropping a load of dirt, put it in reverse, it hesitates before "Getting into gear" sort of thing and "jumps" into gear after applying the throttle.
Why? What am I missing?

The two "buttons" on the floor. Can someone tell me what they do?
One under the left brake pedal. One aft of the throttle.
I'll be back with more as I learn this thing and thank you for any information on this ol' girl.....
