143h AWD bypass

My front wheel motor has two bad pistons in it that have wrecked the cylinder walls. I'd like to put the hub cover back on, disable the AWD pump switch so as not to charge the hub with pump pressure and run the machine until i can get it fixed. I think I will need a new motor if I can't get the cylinder walls honed enough to reuse. Will this work or is there something I'm not thinking of. I believe the bearing will stay lubed by the case drain line but not certain.
