John Deere 2350 breaking front spindles

Thats just about the same tractor as the 2355 I used to run. It had like 5000 hours on it all doing loader work. I really dont think the problem is the spindles. It must be the bearings being to tight.

John Deere 2350 breaking front spindles

I worked for a guy who had a JD 2355 with a loader. He bought it from his brother who has a mega farm. It didnt live a easy life and as far as I know it never broke a spindle.

John Deere 2350 breaking front spindles

Maybe try someone else, my dad ordered a replacement seat cushion from the JD dealer 2 months ago for $100. Turned out to be a chinese piece of crap that wasn't anything like the original. Then they charged a $20 restocking fee.

John Deere 2350 breaking front spindles

Tapered roller bearings definitely don't like lots of torque. They need to be tight enough to where there is no slop, that's normally not much more then hand tight.

    Guess what model this is

One of my tractor books said the 4000 was a 4010 with a 4020 engine. The idea behind it was it would pull a 3 botton alot faster then the 4020 could pull a 4 bottom so at the end of the day the 4000 would have plowed more ground. But I guess it didnt work out that way. I guess the 4000 would...

    loading tires

When I was talking about welding a rim I always had the tire off. Stripped the paint off down to bare metal cut and welded in whenever I needed to then primed and painted it.

    loading tires

You had me laughing there, I couldnt agree more. You really hit the nail on the head. But what I really find mind boggling about it is that the craziest cheapest farmers out there will hillbilly rig something and never have a issue where a normal person would have been found mutilated in a...

    loading tires

Skid steers seem to be reall common with a stem sheild on it. Welding a rim with air in it seems like a good way to blow molten steel in your face.

    loading tires

This is all news to me about welding on rims, if you read farmshow magazine cutting rims and welding in a ring to widen the rim is common practice. I couldn't tell you how many times Ive stopped in to a welding shop with rims that were widened. On my water wagon I built those rims were probably...

Loader shaking hard when raised JD 3203

Ive seen loader brackets bolted on where they werent even and the loader would bind as it moves. I know the valves on these are pretty complicated and could very well cause this problem. My dad has a 5500, I think the 5525 was one of the last built in Illinois.

    loading tires

I buy farm tractors and fix them up as a hobby, also have a lot of farmer friends. Ive never once seen a tubless tire. Even if they are just running air they all had tubes. For some reason it must have just became common practice around here. Sure would make life easier if they were tubless.
