    Leaking Transmission Pump

Nevermind, it was a loose plug on the pump. All better now. :)

    Leaking Transmission Pump

My old '79 Yale G83P forklift has a Chrysler engine and a Cessna transmission/steering pump. Anyway the old pump was squealing like a dying rabbit and was hardly pumping so I installed a new one. When I installed the new one, I also installed a new inline filter on the suction line and changed...

    Government Telehandler

Ok, discovered the main boom ram is leaking pretty bad. It would take a few thousand to have it fixed. I passed on it.

    Government Telehandler

Yes, I've seen those. I will mostly be using it as a "crane" and when I do use the forks, most of the time it will be used to move things like brush mowers etc. Not much pallets of small stuff which can fall off the back. Did you like your machine?

    Government Telehandler

Looking into buying an Army surplus JLG SkyTrak 6000m, from an individual, for 18k. The motor runs like a sewing machine, everything appears to work. The hoses look decent. Tires look good. It is a 1990 model with 1820 hrs. It's actually the green one in the background of the photo. Is this a...

    Hydraulic accessory controls

Yes, I sent my customer a message about the right hand lever. One of my suppliers has the Lexan shields and I do highly recommend them but, I haven't convinced anyone to buy one yet. I guess when a chunk of tree stump hits them upside the head, maybe they'll buy one. But let's hope that never...

    Hydraulic accessory controls

OK, the customer says the SN# is "7775". I googled that and it appears to be the model# :D He is an older gentleman of Central American descent and his English is not exactly fluent so, communication has been a bit of a challenge. Here's one with 7775...

    Brush cutter on loader

I suppose I could make a bracket to lock the stick in position while in use. But the stick does have an adjustable stop in front of it. I could engage that stop at the neutral position and actuate the cutter by pulling the stick back. That way it should eliminate the danger of accidentally...

    Brush cutter on loader

I just purchased a little 60'' brush cutter to use on the loader of my Zetor 4320. Don't have a manual yet. I ordered it with an 80cc gear driven hydraulic motor to replace the standard 100cc so that it would work with the lower GPM of my tractor's pump. I have been running accessories like...

    Hydraulic accessory controls

Thanks. The customer says a "model 89". I didn't find that on a Google search but that's what he gave me.

    Hydraulic accessory controls

I sell attachments at my shop. A customer of mine says he has a John Deere 89 skid steer but he doesn't know where the controls are which control the hydraulic outlets on the front of his skid steer. He says he does have two connectors on the front but he doesn't see any way of turning them off...

    Tire mounting question

It's a plastic bushing like this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/293622425117 Everything is centered in the holes. I made sure of that when I installed. I'm going to try backing the pressure down to 90 to 95 psi and see what that does.

    Tire mounting question

I bought some plastic bushings. Not sure if they will be enough. Anyway. Thanks all.

    Tire mounting question

My lift is a 1979 Yale G83p dually. I changed two of the tires, tubes and flaps and, after inflating to 110 psi (125 is max), I noticed that the flap is protruding through the valve stem hole on the rim. Is this normal? Should there be an insert of some kind in there? Thanks
