    Dust control

Use calcium. Blade the road first and then put the calcium down. It'll last several months. Also don't blade the road after because you'll loose your calcium' Did bunches of time on state projects and it works. Get the flake calcium and mix with water. Be careful handling because it will get...

    What machine should I use?

I would hire a private contractor with the little amount you have to do. He'll come in and be gone before you can bring a machine in yourself. It'll be less expensive.

    Discussion of leases and MARCs

Nige doesn't that only apply if you know the haul distance for cost-per-ton? The hourly rate will also vary pending the fuel usage- grade-ability, haul road conditions, and etc. I always tried to get the most info on these items when bidding. There were always many variables.

How can you guarantee a cost per ton? I've never been around a lease like that. Did have the lease price stopped once on a break down happened but no $$$$$ on lose of production. I would really be interested in something like you talk about Iantraxco. Have never heard of something like that with...

    Discussion of leases and MARCs

The following 20 posts first appeared in the ETF mining truck thread. Since the discussion is not specific to that particular (maybe) manufacturer, and seems really interesting and informative, I thought I'd split it off into a thread of its own. Carry on. ~Digger242j Well if BS was a snow...

    Terex TS 18

When we were weighing these scrapers a D9H was pushing. The owner could not believe it either. When they push-pulled the Ts18 carried about 2.5 yards more. The TS14 would hang on a slope very well and would go in mud where the 627 couldn't go or the TS18. Power wise the 27 and 18 seemed fairly...

    Terex TS 18

The TS18 was top-heavy compared the the TS14. The TS14 and 627 worked better on the slopes than the TS18. Anyway that"s what we found.

    Terex TS 18

We weighed TS18's and 627's with a D9H pushing in heavy dirt. The 627 took 3 seconds less to load but averaged 1.2 yards less. This was done with the Cat scale truck. The 627 was the "A" series and the TS18 was 2 years old in 1976. The 627 had cushion hitch and that enabled to get around a...
