Anyone use their dozer to pull a large offset harrow?

Yes, behind my shop. Also, a little on Piedmont school road.

Anyone use their dozer to pull a large offset harrow?

So far it's working pretty good, the D6 for sure knows it's back there! I actually figured it would pull it pretty easily, I was wrong! It will go right on in 2nd gear on flat ground, first is mandatory on any incline. The disc doesn't have any weight on it, thinking about adding some......as...

    komatsu reviews

I've got an older, (early eighties) Komatsu PC300LC-3 I think it is, we just completely redone the motor, the machine was actually worth the motor overhaul.

Hydraulic quick connect isn't so quick

On some of the older machines, you turn the key backwards to release hydraulic pressure. Sometimes helps, but not always.

anybody parting out a 975 bobcat?

943's were ok, I had one, big & slow, slow as a 970 series, but not as strong. Both the 970 series, and the 943's had servo driven hydrostats. I hated those, they had like a delayed reaction in the steering, you could move the control levers, a second later they would move. It was supposed to be...

anybody parting out a 975 bobcat?

Yes! I forgot about the Deere motored machines! It's been 20yrs.

anybody parting out a 975 bobcat?

Yes, the 970, 974, 975, 980, and 1080's are essentially the same machine. The 970's came with a Continental gas engine, 974, 975, 980, and 1080's came with a Perkins diesel, I think. The 1080's were feller bunchers, and had planets in the wheel hubs. I'm going from memory, correct me if I'm...

Looking for a good track mounted jaw crusher, Komatsu BR380 size

I'm looking for a good track mounted jaw crusher, like a Komatsu BR380 size, but any brand works. Anyone have anything? I'm in North carolina, would like to find one close, but would consider buying one a ways off, if it's a good machine.

    Dozer purchase advice

When making equipment purchases, I consider the resale value pretty hard, if I intend to update in a few years. If you buy what machine works best, but has no resale value, it's going to hafta be really good to makeup for the loss on resale, or trade, and vise versa.

Anyone use their dozer to pull a large offset harrow?

Thanks for the reply. I have a job coming up, freshly cut pine stumps, lotsa backing up getting them out, if we stump them. I'm thinking might just try discing them out, like you say. The owner isn't opposed to letting them sit for a year or two, if they'll work in easier, he can put cows on it...

Anyone use their dozer to pull a large offset harrow?

I've got a D6RXL, bought a fairly large offset (bog) going to try & use the bog to chop up new ground, & cutover, behind the D6. I don't have a large enuf wheel tractor to pull the bog, it's a Rome TACW-20, and Romes website claims between 155-253 PTO horsepower is needed to pull it. I'm pretty...

    L10 vs SA6D125

Got the 300 back to running, runs perfectly! 60 PSI oil pressure at 180 degrees, no smoke, no blowby, cranks instantly, around 10 hours on it so far. I done all the work in my shop, me & my guys, had over $5000 in just parts, no labor, and did the line bore myself.

WA450 grey/m coolant in oil after throttle stuck,

KMP is the brand name of the aftermarket rebuild kit I'm using. If your machine has that many hours on the engine, it's time for a mojor overhaul, IMO.

WA450 grey/m coolant in oil after throttle stuck,

Mine had a fuel pump leaking fuel into the engine oil, thinning out the oil, causing turbo & main bearing failures. This engine is high hours, (over 14000) been patched up a few times, finally time for a full rebuild. I bought a KMP kit, like $2200. also a oil pump, around $500. had the...

WA450 grey/m coolant in oil after throttle stuck,

Yes, that is a sleeved motor for sure. You've prolly got a sleeve leaking. I had one leaking in my S6D125 in my PC300LC-3, along with a lot of other problems, it'll be running next week.

    L10 vs SA6D125

Decided to rebuild my Komatsu motor. Line bored it, new liners, bearings, turned crank, pistons, etc, should be running first of next week.

    L10 vs SA6D125

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but I've got an old PC300LC-3, S6D125 engine, engine is worn out. Around here, I can buy old road tractors for way less than a rebuild kit for the 6D125 costs, thinking of switching it over to the Cummins. I own a complete fab/machine shop, so mounting it is no...
