    D7F 92E Decel pedal

NO, mine has a cable. I will get a photo of it later today. The parts book I have shows a set up like your photo but mine is different. My S/N is D7F 92E995 and the machine was actually built in Japan by Caterpillar/Mitsubishi corp.

    D7F 92E Decel pedal

Bob, I think I have not correctly described what my problem actually is. With the throttle at full power and when I take my foot off the decel pedal, the pedal does not come back all the way and thus the rpm does not return to full power. If I pull the pedal back with the toe of my boot, the...

    D7F 92E Decel pedal

Bob, when you say "take it apart and clean it up" are you speaking of something inside the governor or something external and part of the linkage mechanism? Thanks, Chuck

    D7F 92E Decel pedal

Anyone know what could cause the Decel pedal to not return the power back to max when the pedal is released? I thought it was a sticky flex cable from the pedal to governor but after taking it out and making sure it work smoothly the problem persisted.

CA day in the life of a WABO scoopmobile Model HPD

    D7F Powershift oil type question

Nige, this is a good question. I don't use the machine much but I have noticed each time I have used it over the last 5 years or so, after starting in the morning, I would have to wait a while before I could shift it into forward or reverse. This wait had increased lately to maybe 5 minutes or...

    D7F Powershift oil type question

Nige, Thanks for the info. The oil I normally use in the transmission has a TO-2 rating. I'm not sure of the rating on the hydraulic oil. I was going to buy the TO-4 oil but could only find it at the Cat dealer and the cost was twice as much as the TO-2 rated oil. I checked with the oil...

    D7F Powershift oil type question

I have a D7F 92E and I mistakenly put 5 gal of hydraulic fluid in the transmission. I simply grabbed the wrong bucket and I'm wondering if anyone here can tell me if this is going to cause problems and If I should drain 37 gal out and replace the fluid. Based on the information below, I...

    D7F Powershift problem

I tried two extra gallons of oil and the problem cleared up. I need to find the suction leak, but there is no hurry now that things seem to be working fine. I also need to take Bluox's advice and service intake screen. Thanks all for all the response on my problem. Chuck

    D7F Powershift problem

I won't use the machine much, so every couple months I fire it up and It seems to be getting worse. Once I start using it, it works fine, no slippage at all. It needs to sit at least over night to have the problem again. No tranny problems at all and I have had the machine for 12 years.

    D7F Powershift problem

Nige, Thanks, I will check for suction leaks. Anyone have a schematic/photo/diagram of the "transmission oil lines on the suction side of the pump"? Thanks, Chuck

    D7F Powershift problem

On my D7F, after initial start up for the day, I have to wait about 5 minutes before I can pull the lever into forward or reverse. This wait seems to be getting worse, (longer) as time goes on. The length of the wait seem to be dependent on the angle the dozer is setting. Anyone have any...

    Hitachi EX60URG "Simple?" starting problem.

Jackson, I have not kept up with the value of these machines. I picked mine up from a local builder who was going our of business and I bought it at a really. really cheap, like half price. As for my starting problem, It was the safety relay. The dealer wanted $300 for one so i decided to...

    Hitachi EX60URG "Simple?" starting problem.

Thanks Jackson, Since I had not reversed the batteries wires I doubt if it is the battery relay. I think my problem has something to do with the safety relay. I have a boat with Hino diesel engines and had a similar problem and it was the safety relay. Ironically my alt is not charging and I...
