    Caterpiller 242b hydraulic problems

Yeah the mounting plate was removed to remove the bolts. Will have them double check the hose clamps. Also will take a look at the fluid to see if it is sucking in air, had not noticed it before.

cat 248B problem with throttles hand and foot heater will not work either

On our's both of the throttles are cables. The foot cable gets stiff when the machine is not used for awhile. A little WD-40 works to free them up. As far as the heat, ours has a valve to shut off the coolant to the heater. Just follow the heater hoses and you should be able to find it.

    Caterpiller 242b hydraulic problems

The lip seals didn't go bad the o-ring between the mounting flange and the work tool pump. I believe the only reason the seal went bad is because the two bolts broke for some unknown reason. I'm hoping the pump isn't shot, the machine was shut down quickly when the leak was discovered, and...

    skid steer tire decision

We fill our tires on our old Case, when they wore out after about 500 hours we cut them off to put new on. The fill we used was basically a two part rubber that turns solid after 24 hours. Only thing I liked about them was the fact they didnt have the air fill bounce while turning on pavement...

    skid steer work platform

How high do you need to go? 7' above normal fork lift height? So saying most fork lifts go 12' you need 19'? I wouldnt use a skid steer for this. Telehandler with a basket yes. Maybe a small man lift like a Genie Z-30 or a tow behind genie TZ-34/20? http://genielift.com/tmz-series/index.asp
