    Stuff happens I guess

Operator said he was winging and had main blade turned to the left for better visibility. He is a very new operator. Ram banged up against the heavy iron case by the steps. $6000.00 repair bill plus days lost. I post this as information and possible avoidance to other operators. I'm not casting...

    Interesting type of crane

Not that I'm too familiar with cranes, but I really liked this set up. Some of you folks probably working on this job. Hope it hasn't already been posted here somewhere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNa7FElDRw4

    Offset swing use

I have a question concerning use of the offset swing/dig feature on many of the smaller excavators. The present machine that I see this occurring on is a JD 50G. I have quite a few hours on many different excavators both large and small though by no means do I classify myself as an accomplished...

Maybe a few dangerous things going on here?

Then again perhaps this is all SOP as far as they are concerned, but I would not feel too secure with those back tires flattening out like that. Especially with the kids watching! Our Dept. of Transport might very well consider the vehicle to be overloaded! :D...

    The X Hand

Just wondering if anyone has tried or is familiar with this new, (at least to me) invention. I came across it in the equipment news. I was impressed with the video, but am not a full time hoe operator, so not sure of the overall usefulness of it, but it sure looks impressive! :beatsme...

    Snow and the TD25

Ran this old snorter up out of Ferguson, B.C. years ago. As usual, up some mountain in the snow! This dozer was really great at getting out of sticky situations with that hi/lo track selection. Always took me awhile to remember to switch sides when backing up! (anyone who has run these will...

    HD-31 Pushing Snow

Thought I'd throw in a few pictures to share. This was 1988 - 1989. The snow up there in the Stewart B.C. mountains was very deep and pretty heavy due to warm daytime temperatures. We were opening old mine access roads. The company had bought three HD-31's from the Revelstoke, B.C. tunnel...

    JD 350 C Loader

Greetings. My brother-in-law, who is a decent fellow,:) has a 1981 JD 350C track loader that is missing at higher rpm. He says that there is very little power when digging, or working the machine, though the miss is not as evident at an idle. He has cracked the fuel lines and said that the...
