Think you have a split tip on an injector dumping fuel into the cylinder. Best case tip just split and you can get by with just and injector. Worst case the tip has dropped into the cylinder, made a mess out of the piston and head, then damaged the fins on the turbo on the way out. Seen this...

    L10 cummins fan clutch problem.

Holly crap gramps, now your going to tell us what an aquastat is. Those went out in the 1940's, we now have fan temp senders and air sol. that runs the fan. Usually on the fire wall, with power to it should have air to fan. Could have a viscous fan clutch on it instead. Good Luck

    Covering Exhaust During transtit

As motrack said this will be interesting to watch. Whats the difference between hauling uncovered and a 40 mph wind, of which we have plenty of? Don't start very well if you dont uncover the exhaust first, seen that a time or two lol

looking at 2 trucks any advise?

Even though the Sterling is a newer truck I would check out the parts availability for them. Have a very hard time finding parts here for Ford/Sterling and they dont come cheap.

Obama seeks fuel efficiency standards for large trucks

Priced a 2010 Pete, $20,000 more than a 2009 model because of emision regs. So this is not only going to cost more but get worse fuel mileage. Now they want more regs, how much more is that going to cost? Sure could use Obama's bailout.

3406b Smoking Breather in older Pete

Send in an oil sample of the engine oil. My guess is that you have some coolant in the oil if you are getting steam and coolant smell out of the draft tube.
