    John Deere 450 issues

Thanks for the information guys, I found another 450 for sale in better shape. It is a loader though. The guy is asking 12k but it has new steering clutches and 80% UC as well as good hydraulics and rippers. I haven't seen many Cats for sale around here except for big old ones.

Hey Guys, I am looking at a JD 450C dozer. Here is the problem with it. It is a power shift model. It started with the steering getting weak. Then it got to where it wouldn't pull in higher gears. Now it will barely move and the hydraulics are very slow. The owner said he did some checking...

How farming has changed over the yrs

You got to thank factory farming and the drive for cheap stuff. You can't make a living at it anymore with 40 acres and a mule. Now you have have to have a few hundred acres and a whole lot of money in gear. And kids now a days don't want to work so hard to just get by. I have an old Massey 65...

Have you tried any tractor wrecking yards? I have gotten some stuff for my 65 from the yards. Parts are getting scarce but they are still out there.

    Dozer work per hour.........

In my area a 550 goes for about 55 and a D8 goes for about 80 to 100 depending on the age of the machine. We have some real old ones running around.
