Hydraulic and manual thumbs for 12 ton - 30 ton excavators

I see that lots of machines in the USA come equipped with a manual or hydraulic thumb, almost as standard. I'm based in Ireland and we have very few of these and it seems very few manufacturers of these attachments. I supply a range of attachments for all sizes of excavators but my UK based...

    Final drive oil for JS200

Great, thanks for that folks. Funny how something so simple as calling oil something non standard causes people to say they dont have it;-) Of course it turns out most places have API-GL-5.

    Final drive oil for JS200

JCB say to use HP 90 gear oil for the slew and final drives. Noone locl to me seems to know what this is or carries it. Anyone know what spec I can use like maybe EP 80w/90? Is a GL5 oil ok?

    Diesel transfer pump queation

They're loose rolled up loose with a regular nozzle. I'm going to replace the suction one as it's gone hard. I'll try priming it tomorrow to see if it works ok.

    Diesel transfer pump queation

Not much to see there, the silver plate has the writing worn off. I tried running the pump with 12V with but got nothing. I opened it upcleaned the brushes etc and turned the pump manually. It hummed away then. I presume I have to prime the pump and fill the suction line with diesel?

    Diesel transfer pump queation

I've a JS200LC and it has diesel transfer pump for filling from a bowser. The switch was broke since I got it so hadn't used it, but now I've had the thought: Is it a 12V or a 24V pump? On the pump the writing is all worn off, can'r get the model or anything. The leads going to the battery(s)...

    JS200 LC 2001 opinions please

The seller only got back to me yesterday regarding the solution to the tracking. He had to repair the pump, he says it's basically reconditioned now and has also replaced the coupling between the pump an the drive shaft/engine. He's getting a fitter to adjust pressures and it should be good to...

Komatsu PC 60-6 - Repair manuals.

I'm usually one for trying to get this kind of stuff for free but I had hit a brick wall looking for stuff for my PC60-2. I ended up getting them from the guy at http://sudoremont.com.ua/english/katalog/komatsu/komatsu-07-2.htm He seems to have manuals for your model.

    JS200 LC 2001 opinions please

I need an excavator for my own farm work and I've come across a 2001 JS200 LC with approx 13,000 hours for sale at seemingly OK money. According to the seller everything is working as it should, UC about 70% except the tracking is slow on 1 side. He says he doesn't want to sell it with this...

Removing cylinder head on PC60-2 bucket ram

Thanks for that. The rings I had were too small, I tried fitting them till they broke and ended up going down to the seals place to get proper ones. As for the I.D. of the gland, it should be OK, I had it screwed in all the way already. I've left all the parts with my welder guy along with a new...

Removing cylinder head on PC60-2 bucket ram

I tried the "peening" method described in the link above above and managed to get the cylinder head off, but the damage was done already. We ended up ripping the threads completely. I'll never know if I might have avoided trouble if I had tried this first:Pointhead My welder reckoned we could...

    Kawasaki Aftermarket Parts

I've been looking too but haven't found any. My machine is an old 50z, even if I Google the part numbers I get nothing. Have you had any luck?

Removing cylinder head on PC60-2 bucket ram

I dunno how I missed this post, could have saved me a lot of trouble:( I'll give it a go though I might have damaged the threads by now.

Removing cylinder head on PC60-2 bucket ram

I dropped the cylinders (boom and bucket) up to a local welder who does this sort of thing. Anyway we started with the bucket cylinder, nice bit of heat and it came off without too much drama. Then we went at the boom cylinder. It took a lot of heat and we moved it 1/8 turn and I thought we had...

    Master cylinder rebuild

There was oil in the plunger area but I think it was brake fluid, I never ran the engine with to check for leaks from the booster. Here's hoping! As for super glue with a seal and Dot 4, it seems that is a non runner, Dot 4 is just too good at reacting with stuff.
