I had to replace the computer in my EX200-2 and it cost $1700. BUT there were all kinds of other issues that caused the computer to blow, ie. alternator was putting out well in excess of 36 volts, the wiring harness was damaged and badly repaired with plenty of short circuits and open circuits, and in the end it cost me close to 6 grand to repair everything including new batteries, a starter, alternator, wiring harnesses, etc... When they changed your computer did they say what all they did? Was it just unplug the old one and put the new one in? If so then yes, you got hosed. But if they did troubleshooting, found and fixed the issue that caused the computer to go south in the first place then you probably got a fair price, depending on what was done. If all they did was change the computer, I highly reccomend a thorough troubleshooting to see why the old one blew so that you don't end up sizzle frying the new one right away... Hope this helps.
